Historic former private resort estate (Joyce family, up to 40 buildings on 4,000+ acres historically; only a couple of structures remain) on Trout Lake, about 32 minutes north of Grand Rapids. Trail is mowed/maintained by the Chippewa National Forest. Used casually for hiking, mountain biking, and snowshoeing -- not a purpose-built MTB destination like Legion or Tioga.
