Duluth Trail System

Lift-served downhill bike park within the Duluth Trail System. Nine named trails from easiest to expert, plus optional "B-Lines" (harder variant lines off the top of Happy Camper, not a standalone trail). One-way, lift served. Total system mileage not published as a single figure by COGGS or Spirit Mountain.

    900 ft advanced downhill singletrack filled with rocks and steep slopes. Experienced riders only.

  • Boss Hog

    Expert-level short jump trail with 6-8 ft gap jumps. No user-friendly ride-around.

  • Calculated Risk

    double_black · 0.66 mi · trail

    3,500 ft expert downhill trail — the hill's highest difficulty. Large jumps, high-consequence rock faces.

  • Candyland

    green · 0.87 mi · trail

    4,600 ft machine-built flow trail bridging beginner to intermediate. More defined rollers/jumps and tighter berms. Named a model flow trail by IMBA in 2013.

  • Happy Camper

    green · 0.89 mi · trail

    4,700 ft machine-built flow trail; most beginner-friendly at Spirit Mountain, lots of rollers and berms. Doubles as the return-to-top trail when the lift isn't running.

  • Smorgasbord

    blue · 0.89 mi · trail

    4,700 ft of true intermediate downhill singletrack — high-speed fire road, rock gardens, jumps, drops, and wood features.

  • Sprung-a-Leek

    green · trail

    Machine-built trail providing the easiest access to the lower trailheads. Berms, beginner rock faces, boardwalks, with multiple advanced B-lines (steep roll-overs, possible drops).

  • Wild Cat

    black · 0.19 mi · trail

    1,000 ft advanced free-ride trail. Steep rock faces, drops, jumps, with optional lines of varying difficulty.

  • Wrecking Ball

    black · trail

    Hand-built, tight and fast advanced downhill singletrack, filled with rock faces and tight trees. Experienced riders only.
