Find a Bike 🌼
Not having a bike yet is one of the most common places to start. It doesn't keep you out of the Collective, and it doesn't have to be expensive to solve.
Ways to get on a bike
There's more than one way to start riding, and buying an expensive bike is rarely the first step. Here are the paths other DirtDaisy riders have taken.
Borrow
A friend or family member may have a properly fitting, trail-appropriate mountain bike you can use for a ride or two.
Rent
Some bike shops and riding destinations rent mountain bikes — often right at the trailhead.
Demo
Some shops and manufacturers offer demo bikes, so you can try different bikes before deciding.
Buy used
A used mountain bike can be an affordable way into the sport. If you're unsure about sizing or condition, ask a knowledgeable bike shop to take a look first.
Buy new
A local bike shop can help you figure out the right bike type, size and setup for the riding you want to do.
